1. Evening Stroll Through the Ancient Town
Hoi An Ancient Town at night is an entirely different world — when electric lights dim and hundreds of colourful lanterns illuminate the moss-covered cobblestone streets. On the full-moon night (14th of the lunar month) the ancient town transforms into a paradise of light with traditional lantern festivals, folk music, and flower-covered boats drifting down the Hoai River.
2. Cycling Through Tra Que Vegetable Village
Just 3km from Hoi An's centre, Tra Que Village is where locals still grow more than 20 varieties of aromatic herbs using centuries-old farming methods. Guests can hire bicycles from Eco Lodge, join farmers in tilling soil, sowing seeds, watering crops, and harvesting — then cook a lunch from everything you just picked.
3. Lantern-Making Workshop
Hoi An's silk lanterns are world-famous, crafted entirely by hand. At workshops along Tran Phu Street, visitors can learn to bend bamboo frames, stretch silk, and paint traditional patterns — taking home a lantern they made themselves as a truly unique souvenir.
4. Releasing Flower Lanterns on the Hoai River
One of Hoi An's most romantic experiences is releasing floating lanterns on the Hoai River in the evening. A small, beautifully crafted paper lantern holding a flickering candle is set adrift with wishes for health and good fortune. The full-moon lantern festival is an occasion not to be missed.
5. Day Trip to Cham Island by Boat
Just 18km offshore from Hoi An, Cham Island is a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve with pristine forest, diverse coral reefs, and crystal-clear water. Eco Lodge partners with trusted tour operators to organise full-day Cham Island trips — including snorkelling, fishing, a fresh seafood lunch, and a visit to a traditional fishing village.
